THE STORY OF SOUTH GRANVILLE BAKERY

We are a small but growing family-owned bakery in the heart of South Granville. Some of our recipes were passed down from past generations, others were born out saying “We can make this, but better!” 

 

After searching for but unable to find gluten-free products that were as soft, moist, and delicious as the regular stuff, we decided to do it ourselves. We set up a bakery and spent countless hours throwing every gluten-free technique, trick, and recipe at the wall until we found what stuck. We wanted to make products that were indistinguishable, or even better, than their gluten counterparts. We wanted people to ask us, “Are you sure this is gluten-free?” 

 

Every day we continue to innovate, from cookies and bread to pastries, cheesecake, and more. We want to upend the industry and make gluten-free not just good, but great!

And we do more than gluten free! Our showcase, inside Bean Around the World South Granville, has all of the regular goodies as well. Fresh baked croissants, savoury sausage rolls, gooey cinnamon rolls, delicious sandwiches and more, are available when you come in to get your morning coffee.

We also supply other business in need of gluten and gluten-free products. We are proud to say that our breads and desserts are served at Caffe Barneys on South Granville and at Cafe Zen on Yew.
